Jorden Burt takes this opportunity to inform you about an important change concerning the Facebook online social networking web site. Commencing on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 12:01 a.m. EDT, Facebook users (of which there are approximately 200 million) will be allowed to register usernames on a first-come, first-served basis. Facebook said it plans to offer usernames "to make it easier for people to find and connect with you." Facebook pages will incorporate the registered usernames as part of a personalized URL that will appear in the user's web browser. For example: www.facebook.com/registeredusername.
