JORDEN BURT ALERT: SEC Adopts XBRL Rules for Public Companies and Mutual Funds December 18, 2008
The SEC has adopted new and amended rules to require public companies and mutual funds to provide specified information to the SEC (and on their corporate web site, if any) in interactive data format using the Extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL). The SEC adopted these new requirements by a 4 to 1 vote at its December 17, 2008 open meeting.
