Kristin Shepard's practice at Jorden Burt focuses on defense of insurance companies and other financial institution clients in high stakes litigation in state and federal trial and appellate courts, as well as on state and federal regulation of insurance products. Ms. Shepard's range of experience includes state and federal class actions, mass actions, and multidistrict litigation. She has defended insurers in market conduct litigation, including underlying claims of consumer fraud, unfair insurance practices, RICO, and various common law torts. Ms. Shepard has also counseled clients in connection with insurance market conduct exams and regulatory investigations. She is a contributor to the firm's Expect Focus newsletter.
