Denise Fee is a litigation partner in the firm's Washington, D.C. office, specializing in defense-oriented complex litigation and class actions. Ms. Fee represents primarily life, annuity, casualty, and credit insurers, as well as other financial service providers. Her national practice focuses on trial and appellate work, in both federal and state courts, defending unfair trade practice, consumer protection, RICO, product liability, and common law claims. She regularly defends lawsuits brought under California's Unfair Competition Law (Section 17200). Ms. Fee has litigated dozens of federal and state class actions, including at trial and on appeal. She has extensive experience in Class Action Fairness Act removals, Rule 23(f) petitions, and decertification motions. She frequently serves as appellate counsel for amicus curiae. Ms. Fee is co-chair of the firm's Appellate Practice team, and she serves on the Editorial Board for Jorden Burt's quarterly publication, Expect Focus.
